A beautiful day for a bike ride and we were already packed up from yesterday’s rained out ride that never happened.

Wisconsin has quite a few bike trails some of which are used for bike packing.

We chose the La Crosse River State Trail. We each had to buy a $5 permit to ride for the day.

No ride is complete without a mechanical. Always the back tire and especially more fun on an ebike with the motor in the hub of the back tire requiring tools we did not have with us. We stopped at a tool and die shop and the super kind owner helped us with tools. His dog kept us company while repairs were being made.

There was a fun park where we could ride the fish in La Crosse.

I took a lot of photos of Steve riding his borrowed ebike because he doesn’t do it often. I am hoping we change that in the future.

It was time for ice cream so we rode to a Culvers which neither of us have experienced. It was a hopping spot and we found out why….their custard was delicious.

We ended up riding 14 miles. I am very proud of Steve.
