Wednesday May 21st.
Woke up to overcast day but at least it wasn’t raining. Steve attempted to cook his raw pizza on the camp stove with almost edible results.
We went for a hike from our camp in Great River Bluffs in Minnesota to an overlook.
Then Everyone packed up bikes and gear to head out to a local rail trail. On our way it started raining.
We changed our route to head into town (La Cross, Wisconsin) to shop.
There we discovered an adorable small bookstore. It was cozy and had beautiful woodwork. I could have stayed for hours.
We really wanted to go to an axe throwing bar but they were having a private party for the members of a propane convention.
Across the street was an escape room with a “rage vault.”

They too were booked. No smashing things or throwing axes for us.
So we continued shopping at the cute boutiques in town. I found a sticker for Libby.
Our next stop was Four Sisters Wine & Tapas Bar. The food was excellent and besides wine they also served thc rootbeer.
We found the patron saint and guardian of beer-outside a wine bar?
And what better way to end the day-we had ice cream!
We had a fun day despite the rain.
