I have my stand-up-paddleboard with me. Its inflatable so it travels well.
There are some great designated paddling trails at John Pennekamp through the mangroves. Sometimes the paths are small tunnels.
Of course I managed to get lost. But I was prepaired with google maps, my garmin in-reach gps satelight unit and a photo of the map from the park. Somehow i ended up on a busy boating lane with giant wake.
I made it back and was eating in a pavilion by the launch. A big commercial van with kayak graffics pulled up. It was a touring company with about 20 customers and one guide. I asked the guide if I could tag along with his group in exchange for me helping him unload kayaks. I saId I have gear and know how to paddle. He agreed. So I did another trip and didnt get lost and got to hear about the plants and animals.

I stopped for dinner and tried hogfish for the first time. I enjoyed it.
And i finally made it to my ritzy Rv park about 4 miles north of Key West where i will stay 5 days. It is a highly rated resort.

My sight is waterfront.
