We had a day to spend in Louisville with storms on the way. First stop was the new REI where I got the book “Eat the Weeds” about foraging.
An Rei employee recommended Momma’s BBQ. From their curb appeal I understand why it was on Diners, Dives and Drive ins. The food was great and I loved the sweet cornbread. They had cheesy corn. Which was like Mac n cheese if you replace the noodles with corn.
Then we visited Bernheim Forest to see trolls! It was a large botanical park featuring three giant trolls.
The first troll, Little Nis who likes to explore and look at his reflection.
Number two was Little Elina who likes to play with rocks.
And their pregnant mom, Loumari.
The entrance fee to Bernheim Forest in Shepherdsville, Kentucky was a donation and it was a nice little walk.
