Sunday June 8
The sun came out and the group did a quick easy hike from the campground.
Then everyone checked out and headed home.

I hopped on my bike and rode 22 miles around Acadia loop road and explored.

I stopped at the sand beach and climbed Great Head Trail which had a great view but was very rocky.

Then I played in the tide pools looking for critters.

As I continued my ride I found Little Hunter Beach. There was a set of steep steps leading to a beach of rounded rocks.

It was so much fun to ride around Acadia.
I had reserved a campsite in another Acadia campground an hour north on the Schoodic Peninsula. And was back in the van.

I kept seeing references to Moxie soda. It was from the area. I asked others what exactly it tasted like and got many different descriptions along the line of a mix of cola and dr pepper and rootbeer but everyone agreed it was yucky. So I had to try for myself.

I would describe it as yucky and if you took the bottom dregs of a bunch of sodas and mixed them.
I arrived at the campground in the evening and was excited to take a shower only to find the beautiful bath houses did NOT have showers. So I bathed in the campfire smoke and went to bed stinky.
