Another chance to ride my e-bike in Santos. I counted 33 squirrels and only one crazy one. As I approached the squirrel on the trail instead of running off the side, it came running directly at me. Do squirrels have rabies? At the last minute before squirrel impact, they scampered up a tree.

I finally got used to all the roots that looked like snakes and stopped freaking out until one of the ‘roots’ moved. Damn.

I did ride this wooden feature on “Little Hammock” trail. My tires where in contact with the ground the entire time..no crashes mom. It wasn’t as hard as it looked.

Back in the van for a 2.5 hour trip Northeast through Florida to Fort Clinch State Park in Fernandina, Florida on the Atlantic on Amelia Island. I had a great campsite with just a short walk to the beach.

I found an interesting specimen on the beach…petrified dinosaur doody.

The Fort Clinch beach area is allegedly a good place to find shark’s teeth. There were a few but they were harder to find than on Venice Beach due to the large number of look-alikes. There are many black colored shells here and you really have alot of fakers who appear to be teeth. At Venice, anything that’s black and triangle-shaped is a tooth.
