By 7am I was up and out of sad Salt Springs Campground in Ocala National Forest.
In just 3.5 hours I was on the beautiful beaches of Venice Florida. I love it there because you can find shark’s teeth very easily. I had my shell scoup and sifter.
Larry let me know they got snow at home! I cant say i felt at all guilty on the beach with air and water temps in the 70s.
By late afternoon I had enough sun and started driving south.
Elon was launching Space X from kennedy in Florida at 830pm and i was able to pull off the road to watch. I saw a moving orange glow with a tail for about 30-40 seconds. It was amazing. Someday I want to see a launch from the site.
I had no camp reservations so i was aiming for a truck stop with showers outside Miami. The $12.95 shower sure felt refreshing.
I ended up “camping” in the parking lot of the Miccosukee Casino.
