Woke up after rainstorm, but no tornado, to a 30 degree colder day with what felt like an arctic wind. So I warmed my toes in the bathhouse and bundled up.

I cooked a nice breakfast of bacon and eggs and was off to my next stop.

https://dcr.virginia.gov/state-parks/kiptopekeKiptopeke is a Virginia State Park on the Chesapeake just before the bay bridge. It has nine partially sunken concrete ships that are lined up end-to-end as a breakwater, that were built during WWII during a steel shortage.
I was finally to a beach and walked 4 miles on the coastline.

It was a non-campground stealth night. I slept in the parking lot of the Eastern Shore of Virginia Welcome Center in Cape Charles just at the toll booth to the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. I was given this tip by my friend Jill and I feared alot of traffic noise and sketchyness but it was ok. As an added bonus there was hiking paths from the lot to the National Wildlife Refuge center where you can do walk your dog and/or leave dead bodies. And the visitors center gives away free peanuts if you ask. I thanked her for my hiking snack.
